Senior Manager, Cloud & Systems Engineering, UNLVPart-Time Instructor, College of Southern Nevada
I began my career on the sales floor of an Apple Store in 2002. Twenty-five years and five industries later, I returned to UNLV, my alma mater for both my bachelor's degree and my doctorate, to oversee the servers, cloud, cyberinfrastructure, and identity systems the university depends on daily. Earning a doctorate in public policy here sharpened a principle I apply to every system I inherit: the more consequential question is rarely how something works, but why it was built that way. I teach IS and CS courses at the College of Southern Nevada for much the same reason, convinced that talent across Southern Nevada deserves a clear path into technology careers.
